Since the granting of our Charter in 1327, generations of Skinners have provided life changing funds to support education, the elderly, and disadvantaged young people. These acts of generosity have created a legacy that has lasted 700 years.
As we celebrate this extraordinary milestone, we invite you to join our unbroken chain of philanthropy, launching the next seven centuries of lasting impact.

Skinners’ Almshouse Charity
Relieve isolation with aromatherapy and massage
We will combat chronic loneliness in our almshouses with specialist treatment proven to manage stress, anxiety and other health issues.
We need £46,000 to provide sessions across both of our schemes, Percy Bilton Court and Skinners’ Court.
£75 (or £6.25 a month for a year) would pay for one session
£225 (or £18.75 a month for a year) would pay for three sessions
£600 (or £50 a month for year) would pay for eight sessions
£1,200 (or £100 a month for a year) would pay for sixteen sessions
£2,400 (or £200 a month for a year) would pay for 32 sessions

Skinners’ Charity Foundation
Help 3,000 more people build better lives
Each year, the Skinners’ Charity Foundation is forced to turn down many worthy applications due to lack of funds. With your support, we will provide extra one off grants across our core themes below, helping more people help themselves than ever before.
Your generosity will provide £40,000 worth of life-changing grants.
Young People’s Vocational Development
£90 (or £7.50 a month for a year) would pay for two unemployed young people to visit a range of workplaces
Relief of Poverty and Hardship
£225 (or £18.75 a month for a year) would pay for 30 children to access holiday activities
Arts, Heritage and Communities
£600 (or £50 a month for a year) would pay for 60 bereaved children to take part in dramatherapy sessions
Relief of Poverty and Hardship
£1,500 (or £125 a month for a year) would pay for 75 people to receive debt advice
Young Peoples Professional Development
£2,250 (or £187.50 a month for a year) would pay for one person to complete a City & Guilds diploma in Electrical Installation.

Skinners’ Education Foundation
Give our students the joy of singing
Singing improves health, happiness and concentration. Building on our 700 Concert at the Barbican in February 2027, we will provide a biennial school’s singing day for students at each of our schools.
One Singing Day for 330 students will cost £60,000:
£90 (or £7.50 a month for a year) pays for half a child’s paricipation fee
£180 (or £15 a month for a year) pays for one child’s participation
£540 (or £45 a month for a year) pays for three children’s participation
£900 (or £75 a month for a year) pays for five children’s participation
£1,800 (or £150 a month for a year) pays for 10 children’s participation

Skinners’ Heritage Foundation
Frames for the future
Skinners’ Hall is decked with historic paintings enjoyed by Members and the public. Sadly, 38 of these sit in frames with cracks, chips and decaying fabric.
£40,000 will ensure that we can stabilize, repaint and clean our frames.
£75 (or £6.25 a month for a year) would pay for paint for one frame
£225 (or £18.75 a month for a year) would pay for half a restoration of an entire frame
£600 (or £50 a month for a year) would upgrade all fittings for a frame
£1,200 (or £100 a month for a year) would replace intricate ornamentation on a large frame
£2,400 (or £200 a month for a year) would refit a painting, repaint, and upgrade fittings for a large frame
